Two hundred miles off the coast of Yemen lies the island of Socotra, home to incredible diversity. 90% of Socotra's reptile species, 37% of its plant species and 95% of its land snail species are unique to this archipelago!
It's also home to the unique-looking Socotra dragon blood tree, which get their name from their red sap. Also found here are bottle trees, which when in bloom produce delicate pink flowers.
